More than just startup coaching—it's like having a personal trainer help you bootstrap and grow your startup.

(Except that personal trainer is me!)

Is building a startup lonely, confusing, or frustrating to you?

If you're a solo founder like me or part of a small team trying to get your business off the ground, you'll know how "alone" you can feel in this journey. After all, building a startup isn't like being a developer at a "real" company—there are no "Sr. Developers" just hanging around that you can just go to for help or mentorship.

And like me, you might have turned to books, blogs, social media, podcasts, or even conferences to help you uncover the answers to the questions you have about launching or growing your business. But as you've probably found out, all of that advice tends to be pretty generic and doesn't really help you with your specific situation. Or maybe you've even gone so far as to try to talk to your friends and family about your startup, only to have them apologetically explain that they don't understand how to help you.

Ultimately, you're just kind of stuck on your own trying to figure out how to move the ball forward. If only someone could just look at what you're trying to do and tell you what you should do next, you'd gladly go and do it, right?

That's exactly how I felt. And it doesn't have to be that way.

I spent years alone struggling to understand how to get a business off the ground, get traction for it, and ultimately get paid for my efforts. My experiences were the furthest thing from all those rosy Silicon Valley startup stories that fill the front pages of Hacker News and the like.

The whole time that I put myself through that hell, I wished that there was an easier way, and that I could find someone who could:

  • Show me how to get started
  • Give me the confidence that I'm not crazy and that I can actually do this
  • Help me figure out how to find the time I need to build my startup
  • Look at my "ideas" and tell me if any of them are worth going after
  • Tell me what's "normal" when it comes to building a startup
  • Help me figure out how to get traction
  • Explain sales and marketing to me in a way that actually relates to my startup
  • Look at what I'm stuck on and point me in the right direction
  • Show me what I need to do to grow beyond a certain point
  • Help me understand how to find new ways to market my startup
  • Help me with this emotional rollercoaster ride of building a startup
  • Just be there to talk to about any of this "startup" stuff

Going through those experiences changed me. I vowed that once I "figured it out", that I would help others like me. That's why I wrote The Epic Guide to Bootstrapping, and that's why I'm doing this—because I don't believe that anyone who wants to be a bootstrapper should be held back like I was.

If you're serious about starting or growing your business, I'm serious about helping you with it.

So many people have reached out to me asking for help with their startups, and I've done my best to try to help them all. But what I've found is that there's just too many people, and there's just not enough of me (or my time) to go around.

Despite the time and effort I put into each email or conversation I've had, a good number of the people I've talked to just aren't serious about building a business. (And that kind of defeats the whole point of trying to help people build a business, now doesn't it?)

Because of this, I've decided that the best way for me to give the care, attention, and guidance to fellow bootstrappers is to limit my time to helping those that are serious about building a business.

So if you're serious about your startup, and have been looking for someone like me to help you along your journey, then I'm serious about helping you—regardless of whatever "stage" you're at. It doesn't matter if you're just trying to get into the game or have been at it for a while—I'm here to help.

So how does it work?

Based on your schedule, we hop on call for an hour over Skype, Google Hangouts, or whatever internet conferencing tool works best for the both of us. It doesn't matter what timezone you're in—we'll get a time that works for both of us, even if that means nights or weekends.

From there, we'll talk a little bit to get some background and context about what you're working on and what it is you'd like help with. Due to the magic of the internet, we can even look over your marketing site, your landing pages, your search engine rankings, your ads, your copy, your emails, your social media, your analytics, your funnels, your UI and UX, and even your code (or whatever else might be useful) to help us really dig into what you're working on.

Once we've laid that foundation, I'll be able to give you feedback and we can have a fun back-and-forth working session. After that, I'll craft a set of next actions for you to take that are tailored to your unique situation and the specific outcome you're looking for. I'll walk you through my thought process and how you can best go about doing those things.

After our call is up, we'll schedule when we want to chat next to review your progress and to keep the ball moving forward. And of course, if you have any questions in between then, you'll always be able to get in touch with me.

How much does it cost?

In order to make this as accessible as possible to as many people as possible, I'm only asking for the average rate that a typical freelancer would charge for an hour of their time. (That way, we're pretty much just trading one of your hours for one of mine!)

Each one hour session is $150 if you decide to pay as you go. Or, you can sign up for weekly sessions for only $550 a month and save around 8% overall.

And yeah, it works.

While I can't promise to make you a millionaire or turn you into a startup tech titan, I can promise to help you move your bootstrapped startup forward in a meaningful way—because it's something I've had plenty of experience helping others with.

Between helping readers of The Epic Guide, assisting members of my Slack group, and consulting for other founders and their businesses, I've had hundreds of conversations with bootstrappers just like you and have been able to:

  • Help a developer who went years without making a sale on any of his projects make his very first sale in a matter of weeks
  • Help a founder take the plunge and launch his first startup to over $1,000 MRR after he held back from launching for over a year
  • Help a developer go from "not having an idea" to launching a SaaS startup doing over $5,000 MRR in under one year—and watch month over month growth double since then
  • Help a new bootstrapper find a market and get the courage to launch a startup that's grown to over $9,000 MRR
  • Help a founder find ways to grow his business from $2,500 MRR to over $32,000 MRR in 18 months
  • Help a small service-based business develop their first commercial software product and turn that into over $250,000 in product sales
  • (And more!)

Because of this, I'm confident that I can help you make actual, real-world progress with your startup journey—so long as you're serious about putting in the work, of course. And if at any point you don't think it's something that's working for you? Just tell me you're unhappy and I'll refund your last session in full - because I don't want to keep your money unless I've earned it.

Apply now—only 10 4 spots left!

(And no, that's not just some internet marketing tactic—I seriously only have four more spots I'm willing to take on at the moment.)

Due to popular demand (and that whole only having 24 hours in a day thing), I can only open up my calendar to so many people at any given time for one-on-one coaching.

To make sure that I'm making the best use of my time and that I'm working with the best people to take advantage of that time, I've created a short application process. Don't worry—you don't have to razzle and dazzle me here. You just need to tell me a little bit about yourself, what you're looking to accomplish, and how you think I can help.

Once I've had a chance to review your application and maybe ask some follow up questions, I'll let you know if I think that I'm good fit for helping you with your specific situation and we'll get our first call scheduled!
